Parkhouse and Fc Kenya observed a minute of silence in honour of the late Mohamed Rashid

07/10/18

The QCFL has kicked off the 2018/2019 season with a minute silence in honour of the late Mohammed Rashid of FC Kenya

Parkhouse and Fc Kenya observed a minute of silence before their league kick off match, in honour of the late Mohamed Rashid (Mody) of Fc Kenya. Mody who passed away on September 3rd was Fc Kenya’s best midfielder and has been with the team for about four years and played for the QCFL for the last two seasons.

Parkhouse through their Team Manager Ronan Kelly offered this gesture to FC Kenya as a memory to Mody. “I would describe him as a very committed and disciplined young lad who always saw pride in that Kenyan jersey. He scored incredible goals in both the QCFL League and other tournaments over the years; he will be missed by the team”.  John Ngurugwe, team Manager Fc Kenya.

He would forever be irreplaceable. At only 23 yrs of age his future was bright, his discipline, courage and motivation drove him to greater heights on and off the pitch. QCFL being a competitive league brought the best of him and he interacted with a lot of players and made friends through football. A bond that would come to unite all in grief and shock of his sudden demise.

"Mody was a happy young man with a smile always on his face, he was very talented and respectful and was great role model. The league has lost a good player and a great person, I would like to offer my condolences to his family and team mates" Said Omar Saad, the QCFL League Manager.
